AIMS & OBJECTIVES

The aim of BET will be to add value beyond that of the individual schools by facilitating collaboration, developing capacity and increasing opportunities to raise standards. The Trust will create shared "ownership" of all learners in Bridgwater, enabling a diverse curriculum to be agreed across the town, resulting in greater flexible educational opportunities for learners. The main areas that the Trust in its own capacity will be able to concentrate on are that of Governance and Community Cohesion. Its objectives are the advancement of education and community cohesion.

The objectives of the Trust are to advance the education of the pupils at the Trust Schools or at any other school in respect of which the Company acts as a foundation, it being acknowledged that in carrying out the Object of the Trust, the Trust must (where applicable) have regard to its obligation to promote community cohesion under the Education Act.
